Ningxia Huangshagudu National Wetland Park is a national AAAA level tourist attraction and one of the 21 scenic spots in Ningxia. It is located in Yueyahu Township, Xingqing District, Yinchuan City, adjacent to the east bank of the Yellow River, 28 kilometers away from Yinchuan City, 38 kilometers away from Hedong Airport, and 43 kilometers away from Yinchuan Railway Station. The planned area of the wetland park is 32.4 square kilometers, consisting of functional service areas, sand control promotion experimental areas, ecological civilization exhibition areas, Yellow River wetland protection areas, desert happy valley areas, Yellow River ancient ferry cultural areas, border customs areas, folk culture parks and other areas.
Huangsha Ancient Ferry is an ancient Yellow River crossing and one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Ningxia during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The poem "Huangsha Ancient Ferry" by Prince Qingjing of the Ming Dynasty describes the magnificent scenery here and also elaborates on the important position of Huangsha Ancient Ferry in ancient transportation. Here, you can visit the ancient ferry crossing where Kangxi crossed the Yellow River, and the Crescent Lake where Zhaojun left the frontier and stayed in the desert. The desert scenery, ancient charm of the Yellow River, natural wetlands, and the unique scenery of yellow sand embracing the long river outside the Great Wall in the park are great destinations for original ecological self guided tours. The ancient sheepskin raft, the primitive desert boat camel, the modern wetland Loong Boat, and the exciting sand sea surfing are fun places.
The park has deeply excavated the historical and cultural heritage of Huangsha Ancient Ferry, restored historical sites and landscapes such as Huanglongtai, Huangshazui, Ninghetai, Yuwangge, Guanritai, Yuwangjing, Huanglongzhen River, Gudukou, Huanghe Fishing Village, Huanghe Ancient Town, Gudu Renjia, Huangsha Ancient Ferry Yellow River Tower, Hunhuai Barrier, Ludang Drifting Snow, Huanghe Renjia, Gudu, Huanghe Town, Desert Solitary Smoke Yellow River Sunset, Beacon Tower, Hengcheng Ancient Ferry, Hengchengcheng Castle Crossing Yellow River, Zhugui Border Patrol, Kangxi Crossing Yellow River, Huanghe Ancient Rhyme, Zhaojun Leaving the Frontier and Personal Sculpture, etc; We have restored the desert camel farm, Mobei Daying, the old sheep pen on the Yellow River beach, the Yellow River ancient road, the old pasture outside the Great Wall, and the sand control households.
