The Taihang Mythology City That Never Sleeps is a cultural and tourist attraction located in Huguan County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province. Jointly designed by Happy Taihang Valley and Xi'an Jinshangtianhua Cultural Tourism Group, it officially opened on February 6, 2024. With a total investment of 120 million yuan, the project features six core areas: a prayer square, the main street area, the Wangchuan Mythology Food Street, a check-in area featuring lanterns dedicated to the Goddess of Creation, a mythology-themed parade area, and a folk festival parade area.
Based on local Changzhi myths such as Houyi shooting the sun and Jingwei filling the sea, the project integrates ancient charm, traditional Chinese culture, and smart night tours. The project features mythology performances, a themed lantern exhibition, a light show with 1,200 drones, and a stamp-collecting game. During the opening period, the park will host folk and intangible cultural heritage performances, mythology parades, and fireworks displays. The Lantern Festival will be held from February 23rd to 25th.
