Main seafood includes sea cucumbers, abalone, shark fin, prawns, lobsters, seahorses, scallops, sandworms, grouper, mud crabs, stone sharks, squid, cuttlefish, oysters, and various shellfish. The main sea cucumbers produced in Beihai are sea cucumbers, primarily found on Weizhou Island. Sea cucumbers are highly nutritious, and sea snake venom can treat sciatica, rheumatism, and other conditions.

Southern pearls, shell carvings, ox horn carvings, and woven crafts.
Northern pearls, known as Southern pearls, are renowned for their dense, firm texture, large, round shape, dazzling brilliance, and long-lasting luster. They are known as "Western pearls are inferior to Eastern pearls, and Eastern pearls are inferior to Southern pearls."
Hepu ox horn carvings are a specialty of Hepu, Guangxi. These carvings are crafts made from ox horn.
Hepu South Pearls, a specialty of Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, are a national geographical indication product of China.
South Pearls, originating from the waters near ancient Hepu (now part of Beihai City), are known for their delicate texture, smooth and round shape, magnificent colors, and enduring luster. They are the finest pearls, earning them the reputation of "the best pearls in the world."
On October 29, 2004, the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine approved the implementation of geographical origin protection for Hepu South Pearls.
