Beihai Overview


Beihai City, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, also known as "Pearl City," is located at the southern tip of the region, on the northeastern shore of the Beibu Gulf. Its terrain is generally flat and open, with high in the north and low in the south. Its climate is characterized by a maritime monsoon climate with typical subtropical characteristics. It covers a total area of 3,337 square kilometers. As of the end of 2023, Beihai City will administer three districts and one county. As of the end of 2023, Beihai City will have a permanent population of 1.8884 million.
