Guiyang Climate


Guiyang has a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons and moderate temperatures. The average annual temperature is 15.3°C, with a maximum of 39.5°C and a minimum of -1°C. The hottest month is late July, with an average temperature of 24°C, while the coldest month is early January, with an average temperature of 4.9°C. The average temperature in Guiyang ranges from 15°C to 19°C in spring, above 23.5°C in summer, between 14°C and 18°C in autumn, and below 7.5°C and above 4.9°C in winter. Except for winter, the temperature varies little between seasons.

Guiyang's annual temperature fluctuations are lowest in January and highest in July. From January to July, temperatures gradually rise, with the fastest increase occurring from March to April, with April typically increasing by more than 5°C compared to March. From July to January, temperatures gradually decrease, with the most rapid drop occurring from October to November, with the temperature difference between the two months approaching 5°C. In May, June, July and August, the temperature difference is generally small, especially from July to August. The difference does not exceed 1°C.
