Qianlingshan Park is located in the northwest corner of Guiyang city. Qianling Mountain Park has four main gates, east, west, north, and south. The south gate is the main entrance of the park, and there are many buses passing by. The cable car up the mountain is also located on this side of the south gate. Therefore, it is recommended that visitors enter the park through the south gate.

Entering the south gate, the first thing you see is Seven Star Pond. Spring water flows from Qilin Cave to the south gate of the park, forming seven stepped pools. Take a few steps along Qixingtan and you'll be on the mountain road. If you don't want to climb the mountain, you can take the cableway directly to Kanzhu Pavilion on Xiangwang Ridge. If you climb the mountain, follow the winding path and climb up the stairs. The vegetation on the mountain is dense, the air is fresh, and you can also see a group of cliff carvings along the way.

Qianling Mountain is not particularly high, with a vertical distance of about 200 meters from the ground. There is a Hongfu Temple on the mountaintop, which was first built in the Qing Dynasty. It is said that praying for blessings in the temple is very effective, so many believers come to worship. After climbing some mountain roads behind Hongfu Temple, you will arrive at the Kanzhu Pavilion in Xiangwangling. From the pavilion, you can overlook the scenery of high-rise buildings in the mountains of Guiyang, which is a good shooting point. If you particularly enjoy hiking, the mountains in Qianling Mountain Park are composed of several continuous peaks. You can also climb Baixiang Mountain, Guandao Rock, and Daluo Ridge, while most tourists can go down the mountain after seeing Hongfu Temple and Kanzhu Pavilion.

There are many macaques in Hongfu Temple and on the way down the mountain. Many tourists come to Qianling Mountain Park to see these macaques. The monkeys are free range in the park and are not afraid of people. Instead, people have to keep them in their hands. Those with cameras should hold them well, and those with food should hide them carefully because monkeys will come to grab them.
If you encounter a fork in the road when going down the mountain, go first towards Qianling Lake. There is a snack shop by Qianling Lake that can replenish your energy. Qianling Lake is an artificial reservoir, and there is a martyr monument by the lake. Rowing can be done in the lake, and in summer, lotus flowers bloom, creating a beautiful scenery. Continuing on to the zoo, there are also snack shops next to the zoo, offering grilled meat skewers, grilled squid, grilled tofu, and more. The taste is good and the prices are not expensive.

There are not many animal species in the zoo, but if there are children accompanying, they will be delighted to see black bears, lions, spotted deer, pigeons, and so on.
To the south of the zoo is the Qilin Cave. In the cave, you can see some strange stones, one of which looks like a qilin. Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng were once imprisoned here. There is also a cultural relic exhibition room for General Zhang and General Yang, where you can see their bedroom and related graphic and textual introductions. After strolling around like this, the main attractions of Qianling Mountain Park have been almost explored. If you are a tourist with children, you can also go to the children's playground at the entrance of the south gate of the park, which has amusement facilities such as bumper cars, horse riding, pirate boats, etc.
