Changchun, also known as "Chang," is also known as the "Spring City of the North." Ancient names included "Xidu" and "Chaa Chong." It is a prefecture-level city, provincial capital, and sub-provincial city under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province. Located in Northeast China, at the geographical center of the region, Changchun borders Songyuan, Siping, Jilin, and Harbin. It covers a total area of 24,744 square kilometers. As of the end of 2023, Changchun governs seven districts, one county, and administers three county-level cities. By the end of 2024, Changchun's total population was 9.0851 million.
