Songzi Buckwheat Bean Curd Sheets

Songzi buckwheat bean curd sheets are a traditional handmade specialty originating from Wangjiaqiao Town (formerly Mashui Township) in Songzi City. The main ingredients are buckwheat, rice, potatoes, and mung beans. The traditional method involves soaking buckwheat and rice in boiling water, grinding them into a paste, adding potato and mung bean starch in a specific ratio, stirring well, spreading the paste into sheets in a hot pan, cooling it, cutting it into strips, and then sun-drying it.

Songzi Honey Pomelo

Wangjiaqiao Town is a major fruit-producing town in Songzi City. The "Weishui" brand Mashui honey pomelo has been successively rated as a high-quality fruit in Hubei Province and a famous and excellent fruit in China, winning a gold medal at the Wuhan Agricultural Expo. Approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, it is exported to Russia via the green agricultural product direct sales channel.

Honghu Lotus Root Powder

Honghu lotus root is a unique variety of lotus root in Hubei Province, with a cultivation history of over 2300 years. The production of Honghu lotus root starch involves several processes, including washing, removing nodes, grinding, filtering, sedimentation, and drying. Only 12 jin (6 catties) of fresh lotus root can produce 1 jin (0.5 catties) of lotus root starch.

Honghu Lotus Leaf Tea

Honghu lotus leaf tea has a long history of production, originating in the Qing Dynasty. It is made from fresh lotus leaves from Honghu Lake and was once listed as a beverage in the Qing Dynasty imperial court. Honghu lotus leaves are large, neat, and vibrant green. Fresh leaves are nearly round, 20-50 cm in diameter, with entire, slightly wavy edges. The upper surface is a finer green than lotus leaves grown in other environments, while the lower surface is green with a misty white tinge. A raised leaf base is present in the center. The leaves are easily broken, have a delicate fragrance, and a slightly bitter taste.

Gongan beef originated in the Three Kingdoms period. It is a cooked beef product made from naturally raised water buffalo meat. The beef undergoes inspection, slaughtering, cutting, cleaning, seasoning, processing, canning, sealing, and sterilization, resulting in a non-fishy, non-dry texture, a deep reddish-brown color, a delicious flavor, a rich broth, and a satisfying chewiness.
