Yuncheng Transportation

Yuncheng is a key node on the New Eurasian Continental Bridge and the Silk Road Economic Belt. It lies in the heart of the Yellow River "Golden Triangle" of Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Henan, and faces Sanmenxia City in Henan Province and Weinan City in Shaanxi Province across the Yellow River. It connects east and west, connects north and south, and radiates throughout the Central Plains. As of April 2024, Yuncheng City boasts a crisscrossing network of expressways, connecting every county with expressways, and six interprovincial expressway exits. High-speed rail within the city provides access to Xi'an in one hour, Taiyuan in two hours, and Beijing in five hours. The completed Haoji Railway passes through Yuncheng, connecting seven provinces (regions) including Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi, making it a new national strategic transportation corridor. Yuncheng Airport, the second largest airport in Shanxi Province, operates 30 domestic routes to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. With the continuous improvement of its modern, three-dimensional transportation system, connections and exchanges with North China, Central China, Central China, South China, and Northwest China are becoming increasingly convenient.

On February 7, 2005, Yuncheng Airport opened, opening an air corridor connecting Yuncheng to various parts of the country and becoming a key window for Yuncheng's opening up to the outside world. On July 1, 2014, Yuncheng North Station was completed and put into operation, marking the entry of Yuncheng City into the high-speed rail era.
