Xiamen Cuisine


The most famous and common Xiamen snacks include: satay noodles, earthworm jelly, roasted pork rice dumplings, five-spice dumplings,taro buns, leek boxes, taro and dates, octopus, scallion buns, braised tofu, braised duck, oyster porridge, rice noodle soup, fried dates, sugar scallion pancakes, pancakes, satay noodles, fish balls, fried oysters, sesame seeds, tribute squid, "pan-fried" tofu, grated snails, flower snails, fried taro buns, fried oysters, water chestnut cakes, fried buns, noodle soup, shrimp noodles, roasted tofu pudding, peanut soup, fried noodles, fried rice noodles, tofu buns, etc.

After years of exploration and innovation, Xiamen cuisine has gradually developed four signature dishes: seafood, snacks, vegetarian dishes, and medicinal cuisine. A number of Xiamen dishes have been recognized at the China Food Festival as China's Famous Banquets, Famous Dishes, and Famous Dim Sum, establishing the Xiamen cuisine brand nationwide. Among them are East China Sea Conch, Braised Bird's Nest with Crab Roe, Sea Cucumber Stuffed with Scallops, Pumpkin and Shark's Fin Soup, Ludao Pearl, Silky Rain and Wild Goose Cloud, and South China Sea Golden Lotus, all of which have been designated as China's Famous Dishes.
