Tong'an Film and Television City, formerly known as Yuanhua Film and Television City, is almost a replica of Beijing's famous scenic spots. It imitates Tiananmen Square, Hall of Supreme Harmony, Hall of Mental Cultivation, Summer Palace Corridor, and more, making people feel as if they have traveled back to the old Beijing city. Most of these buildings are slightly smaller than the original, but they are quite similar, and the photos taken can almost be mistaken for real. In palaces such as the Hall of Supreme Harmony, visitors can even rent ancient costumes and sit on dragon chairs to take photos.
There are also many exciting performances in the film and television city every day, mostly around 10am and 3pm, featuring Minnan style activities such as throwing embroidered balls to attract relatives and juggling. Tourists should pay attention to the performance announcements in the scenic area and go there to watch without purchasing additional tickets. In addition, there are also some paid activities here, such as forest exploration, roller coasters, and bumper cars, which are very popular among children.
