Zhangshiyan, a national scenic spot located in Zanhuang County, southwest of Shijiazhuang (52 kilometers from Zanhuang County), is approximately 110 kilometers from Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. It is the heart of Taihang Mountain Forest Park. Its signature attraction is a large natural echo wall. The scenic area covers approximately 120 square kilometers, and from its highest point, Huang'an Ridge (1,774 meters above sea level), one can see across two provinces and five counties. The entire Zhangshiyan tourist area has been designated "Zhangshiyan Landform" by national tourism and geological authorities. The landform, named after Zhangshiyan, is considered one of China's three major tourist sandstone landforms, along with the Danxia landform and the Zhangjiajie landform.


Transportation: From downtown Shijiazhuang, take bus No. 30 (first bus at 5:30 AM, last bus at 9:30 PM) or No. 35 (first bus at 6:00 AM, last bus at 9:00 PM) to Nanjiao Bus Station. Then, take the Zanhuang bus (6:00 AM - 5:00 PM) to Zanhuang Bus Station (fare 15 RMB). Transfer to the Zhangshiyan bus (fare 15 RMB) to reach the scenic area.

From Beijing, take the Beijing-Shenzhen Expressway to the Yuanshi exit. Then, take the Yuanzan Highway through Zanhuang County. Then, take the Zanxi Highway to Yecaowan, turn left, and continue to the Zhangshi Scenic Area.
