Longxing Temple, also known as the Great Buddha Temple, is located in Zhengding County, Shijiazhuang City. It is a tourist attraction that cannot be missed when visiting Shijiazhuang. The temple was first built in the Sui Dynasty and has undergone generations of repairs. It is now one of the oldest, largest, and well preserved temples in the country. Longxing Temple is not very famous today, but it was a temple valued by the royal family in history. Here are Bodhisattva statues personally ordered to be built by Emperor Taizu Zhao Kuangyin of the Song Dynasty, footprints of emperors of the Qing Dynasty, handwritten inscriptions, plaques, etc., which have a high status and many pilgrims will pray here. Inside the temple, you can also see numerous precious cultural relics and treasures, as well as ancient style buildings from the Song and Jin dynasties, each with its own characteristics and very precious, all of which can be visited one by one. Longxing Temple has a large scale and many buildings. The depth of the temple is about 600 meters, and the width is about 200 meters. The main hall of the temple is roughly in a symmetrical layout of the central axis. From the outside to the inside, there are Tianwang Hall, Mani Hall, ordination platform, Great Compassion Pavilion, Mituo Hall, Pilu Hall, Longteng Garden and other main buildings. After entering the temple, you can walk along the halls of the temple, which generally takes about 2-3 hours. Longxing Temple is known as the Great Buddha Temple. The main treasure in the temple is a huge Avalokitesvara. The statue of Guanyin is located in the center of the temple at the Great Compassion Pavilion, which is a place worth visiting. The Guanyin statue was personally ordered to be built by Zhao Kuangyin of the Northern Song Dynasty. It is 21.3 meters high and magnificent, making it one of the largest ancient Buddhist statues in the country. Therefore, the temple is also known as the Great Buddha Temple, so be sure to visit it carefully here. The Mani Hall is also a key attraction for visitors inside the temple. On the north wall of the hall, there is a colorful statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva sitting upside down. The sitting posture of this statue is very unique, and the colors are very bright and realistic. Mr. Lu Xun once praised this statue as "personifying gods and humans", and it is also known as the "Oriental Beauty God". In addition, the building of the Mani Hall itself is also a very unique work of art. It was built in the Song Dynasty. The whole building is in the style of the Song Dynasty. Mr. Liang Sicheng once praised it as the "unique example" of the arch of wooden architecture of the Song Dynasty, which is a precious domestic building. You can carefully observe whether it is different from ordinary ancient buildings. In addition to the Longxing Temple and Mani Hall, the Longxing Temple Jietai in the Jietai Hall, the Zhuanluncang Pavilion in the Northern Song Dynasty, the 7.4 meter high wooden Maitreya statue of the Northern Song Dynasty in the Cishi Pavilion, the inscriptions written in calligraphy by Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong in the Imperial Tablet Pavilion, and the Stone Tablet Longcang Temple Tablet in the Sui Dynasty known as the "Group of Regular Script" are rare treasures in the country. You must not miss them when you visit here. In addition, there are many scenic spots such as the ruins of the Dajue Six Masters Hall and the Longteng Garden that can be visited one by one.
