Nanping Climate


Nanping City has a mid-subtropical humid maritime monsoon climate with an average annual temperature of 17°C-19°C. Winters are mild (extreme lows range from -3°C to -7°C) and summers are mild (extreme highs reach over 37°C). The city boasts distinct four seasons, abundant rainfall, a forest coverage rate of 74.5%, and excellent air quality.

Seasonal temperature fluctuations are minimal: Winter temperatures average 7°C-11°C, while summer temperatures average around 25°C. The year-round temperature fluctuations are minimal, making it a suitable place for both summer and winter escapes.

Abundant precipitation: Annual precipitation is plentiful, with the rainy season concentrated in May and June, accounting for over 60% of annual precipitation.

Long comfortable climate: Aside from periods of extreme high or low temperatures, temperatures generally remain between 15°C and 25°C, making it suitable for year-round travel.

Summer (July-September): Temperatures are comfortable (average 25°C), and scenic areas like Wuyishan National Park boast lush vegetation, making them ideal for hiking during the summer heat.

Autumn (October-November): Mild weather makes it ideal for exploring scenic spots like Xiyuan Canyon and Mangdang Mountain.

Winter (December-February): Experience Yanping District's integrated road-rail-water transportation system, while Wuyi Mountain boasts unique snowy scenery (averaging approximately 15 snowy days annually).
