Tianyou Peak

Tianyou Peak is located in the north of Liuqu Brook in the Jiuqu Brook of Mount Wuyi Scenic Area, in the center of the scenic spot. It is very famous. Tianyou Peak is a place that almost everyone visiting Mount Wuyi will visit, because here you can enjoy the spectacular scene of Jiuqu River surrounding Wuyi Mountain from more angles.

Tianyou Peak is suitable for morning sightseeing, especially on rainy mornings, as there is a higher chance of seeing a sea of clouds at this time. The origin of its name is also because when there is a sea of clouds, at Tianyou Peak, it feels like being in a fairyland, wandering in the Heavenly Palace, hence the name "Tianyou".

Tianyou Peak is divided into upper and lower sections, with Shangtianyou located to the left of the observation pavilion; After descending the rugged hills and following the Hu Ma Jian area, it is called Xia Tian You. The pavilion on the sky tour, which is close to the cliff, is an excellent viewing platform for Mount Wuyi mountains and waters. From here, you can have a panoramic view of Wuyishan mountains and waters.

Generally, tourists like to climb the right path up and down to the tea cave, which takes about 1.5 hours. For those who enjoy challenges, you can also consider hiking up the narrow path from Jiesun Peak, which is steeper and more time-consuming. You can decide whether to climb to the top based on your own physical strength. If you can't climb, you can return to the original path at the Half Mountain Pavilion, and the road behind the Half Mountain Pavilion will start to steep.

Because someone once held a dance party at the Tianyou Pavilion on the mountaintop, there is a wax statue of him there, but the quality is average. There are light meals and drinks for sale on the mountaintop, but the prices are relatively expensive and the taste is average, so it is recommended to bring your own dry food.

After climbing to the top, there is no need to turn back on the original path. There are several roads behind the mountain that can be taken, and the forest is quiet and has a unique flavor. On the stone walls along the stream, there are also many cliff carvings from various dynasties. When you come to the Jiuqu Stream at the foot of the mountain, don't forget to look back at the Shabu Rock at the foot of Tianyou Mountain, which is the larger rock in Mount Wuyi Scenic Area.                                           Travel  tips
