Dahongpao Scenic Spot

The name of Dahongpao Scenic Area comes from the Dahongpao mother tree in the scenic area. Dahongpao is the top player in Wuyi rock tea. It grows in the Jiulong Nest in the north of Mount Wuyi. At present, there are only a few Dahongpao mother trees, which are extremely valuable.

The main attractions in the scenic area include Niulankeng, Yongle Zen Temple, Dahongpao, Sanhua Peak, Leishi Rock, Matou Rock, Wuyuan Cave, and Duqianyan. It is mainly about the Temple Tianxin Yongle Temple in Mount Wuyi and Dahongpao, which is said to be the divine tea.

It takes a while to walk to see the mother tree of Dahongpao. As you walk in, there are cliffs on the left and tea gardens on the right. Each variety is available, but they are all rock teas, and Dahongpao is one of them. It would be great to learn about the origin and varieties of Wuyi rock tea and gain some knowledge.

The mother tree is on the rock wall and no longer produces tea. Its previous yield was also very rare. If you want to buy some ordinary Dahongpao tea, you can buy it in the rest area nearby. The Dahongpao tea bags here are very popular and the business is very good. There are also so-called Tea egg boiled with Dahongpao tea.

In addition to the Dahongpao Mother Tree, another point worth seeing in the scenic spot is the Yongle Temple. The Yongle Temple is very magnificent. Along the central axis of the temple, there are Maitreya Hall, Heavenly King Hall, the Shakya ManiHall, Guanyin Hall, Dharma Hall, Warehouse, Zhaitang, Zen Hall, Guest Hall, Xiangke Building and other buildings. The towering tower, hidden among the trees, appears deep and elegant, allowing for a leisurely stroll.                                                Travel  tips
