Jiujiang Transportation


Jiujiang City is located at the intersection of the Yangtze River and the Beijing-Kowloon Railway economic development zones, and is a central port city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, boasting a well-developed modern transportation network encompassing waterways, land, and air. Jiujiang Port is one of the top ten ports in the Yangtze River basin, ranking second in passenger volume and fourth in cargo volume among all Yangtze River ports. The railway network is comprised of five major expressways: the Beijing-Kowloon Expressway, the Wuhan-Jiujiang Expressway, the Hefei-Jiujiang Expressway, the Tongling-Jiujiang Expressway, and the Nanning-Jiujiang Intercity Expressway. The Changjiu section of the Fuzhou-Yinchuan Expressway and the Jiujiang-Jingdezhen section of the Hangzhou-Ruili Expressway are connected end-to-end. The Penghu Expressway, Yongwu Expressway, Jiurui Expressway, and the Ring Expressway have also been completed. National Highways 105 (Beijing-Zhuhai) and 316 (Fuzhou-Lanzhou) pass through the city. Jiujiang Lushan Airport is designed as a 4C-level airport, capable of accommodating various large aircraft such as the Boeing 747, and has already opened routes to Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Xiamen, and other destinations.

Jiujiang Lushan Airport (IATA: JIU, ICAO: ZSJJ), abbreviated as "Lushan Airport," is located on Airport Road, Minshan Township, Chaisang District, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, China. It is 8.5 kilometers northeast of the west gate of Lushan National Scenic Area, 16 kilometers from the center of Chaisang District, and 31 kilometers from the center of Jiujiang City. It is a 4C-class military-civilian joint-use tourist branch airport.

In the summer/autumn flight season of 2022, three airlines operated four routes from Jiujiang Lushan Airport, connecting six cities.
