Hengyang Transportation


Hengyangdong Railway Station, located in Hengyang City, Hunan Province, China, is a first-class passenger station under the jurisdiction of the Hengyang Train Depot of the Guangzhou Railway Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It is the intersection of the Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, the Hengliu Railway, and the Huaihe Railway.

Construction of Hengyang East Station began on December 8, 2006; completion and acceptance were completed on December 16, 2009; and it was put into use on December 26, 2009.

As of January 2023, Hengyang East Station has five platforms and 11 tracks. According to the "Hengyang City Annals (1978-2008)," Hengyang East Station has a total construction area of 71,667 square meters, with the station building covering 22,128 square meters.

Hengyang Nanyue Airport, located in Yunji Town, Hengnan County, Hengyang City, officially opened on December 23, 2014. After several years of development, passenger throughput reached 1.1 million in 2019. In the 2024 summer and autumn season, Hengyang Nanyue Airport plans to operate 16 routes, connecting to 26 popular domestic destinations. Nanyue Airport is designated a national 4C regional airport with a range of 800-1,500 kilometers, a 4C airfield rating, and a 2,400-meter runway. Future development includes 4D rating, with the runway extended to 3,200 meters.
