Zhurong Peak is a high mountain peak in Hengshan, with an altitude of about 1300 meters. Zhurong Peak is named after the Fire God Zhurong clan. According to legend, Zhu Rong was an ancient god of fire, appointed by the Yellow Emperor as the official in charge of fire. Huangdi also appointed him as Situ, in charge of southern affairs. He lived in Hengshan and was buried there after his death. It takes about 30 minutes to walk from Nantianmen to Zhurongfeng. Climbing to the summit of Zhurong Mountain, looking around, one can see continuous peaks and lush forests below, with the winding Xiang River in the distance. On Zhurong Peak, there is Zhurong Hall (Temple). Due to the high mountain and strong wind, the building is made of sturdy granite walls and topped with iron tiles. The hall stands tall on the towering boulder, braving the wind and snow. There is a moon watching platform behind the hall, which is a towering rock with stone carvings on it, and the handwriting is clear and recognizable. Nowadays, many tourists come to Zhurong Hall to burn incense and pray for blessings. The incense and candles sold in the hall are not cheap, and tourists can bring them themselves. Not far south of Zhurong Peak is Shangfeng Temple. Before the Sui Dynasty, Shangfeng Temple was called Guangtian Temple and was a place for Taoist activities. During the reign of Emperor Chang of Sui Dynasty (605-618 AD), it was ordered to be renamed as Shangfeng Temple. Behind Shangfengsi Mountain is the "Sun Viewing Platform". Next to the Sun Viewing Platform, there is a stone tablet with the four characters "Source of Sun Viewing" engraved on it. In the cool autumn weather, especially on sunny days after rain, visitors can see the spectacular scene of "a red sun rolling golden balls". In order to watch the sunrise, visitors need to stay in the guesthouse of Shangfeng Temple the day before and arrive at the Sun Watching Platform before dawn the next day.
