Handan Airport (IATA: HDG, ICAO: ZBHD), located at No. 1, Airport Road, Hanshan District, Handan City, Hebei Province, China, is 10 kilometers north of Handan's city center. It is a Class 4C domestic feeder airport.
Construction began in December 2004, and the airport officially opened on August 8, 2007. In 2016, Handan Airport's airfield designation was upgraded to Class 4C. On September 22, 2020, Handan Airport's new terminal opened, and Terminal 1 closed.
As of September 2020, Handan Airport's terminal building covers 20,000 square meters and features five boarding bridges. The civil aviation apron has nine Category C aircraft stands and two Category B aircraft stands, five of which are close-in Class C bridge stands. The runway is 2,600 meters long and 45 meters wide, capable of handling an annual passenger throughput of 3 million. In 2021, Handan Airport completed a total passenger throughput of 623,633, a year-on-year decrease of 4.8%, ranking 117th in the country; cargo and mail throughput was 804.1 tons, a year-on-year increase of 32.4%, ranking 128th in the country; aircraft take-offs and landings were 49,534, a year-on-year increase of 19.8%, ranking 60th in the country.
Handan East Railway Station is located in Handan, Hebei Province, China. It is a passenger station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Beijing Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and serves as an intermediate station on the Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway.
Handan East Railway Station opened on December 27, 2012, with the opening of the Beijing-Zhengzhou section of the Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway. It began accepting second-generation ID card tickets on June 1, 2013, and began a pilot program for e-ticketing on December 20, 2019.
As of November 2012, Handan East Railway Station had a total building area of 16,000 square meters and a station yard with three platforms and seven tracks.
