Changzhou Shopping

As a renowned Jiangnan city, Changzhou boasts a wealth of tourist and shopping specialties. Here are some recommended products:

Changzhou Combs

Dating back 1,600 years to the Jin Dynasty, Changzhou combs were handcrafted through 72 steps using natural bamboo and wood. The designs feature traditional motifs such as flowers, birds, fish, and insects, making them both practical and collectible. We recommend buying combs from time-honored brands like "White Elephant" and "Yu Ji Combs."

In March 2007, Changzhou combs were included in the first batch of Jiangsu Province's intangible cultural heritage list. On June 7, 2008, the State Council approved the inclusion of Changzhou combs in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list, with the heritage number VII-68.

Changzhou Hemp Cake

Changzhou hemp cakes have a crispy crust and a savory filling, leaving a crumbly crumb when you bite into them. Available in both sweet and savory flavors, they are freshly baked at Shuangguifang, so it's recommended to order them early in the morning.

Changzhou Dried Radish

Using Xinzha red radish, they're dried three times in the sun and two times pickled for 45 days. They offer a sweet, salty, and crispy flavor. Look for "Yudie" or "Xiangquan" brand packaging.

Jintan Queshe Tea

A National Geographical Indication product, this tea leaf, shaped like a sparrow's tongue, offers a refreshing aroma and a refreshing taste. The elegant packaging makes it a great gift.
