Anhui Province, located in the eastern part of China, is an integral part of the most economically dynamic region—the Yangtze River Delta of China. It is about 570 km from south to north and 450 km from east to west, covering an area of 140.1 thousand square kilometers, about 1.45 percent of the total area of the country. At the end of 2025, the number of permanent residents in Anhui reached 60.82 million.
