Wuxi Plum Garden, also konw as Meiyuan 梅园, is located on the southern slope of Hushan in the western suburbs of Wuxi. It was originally a private garden built by the first Chinese national industrial "households" Rong Zongjing and Rong Desheng brothers in 1912. Every February to March, thousands of plum blossoms bloom together in the scenic area, and the sea of flowers covering the mountains and fields attracts countless spears and cannons. There is an old saying in Wuxi, 'Spring begins with plum gardens'.

Visiting plum gardens requires high seasonality and can be done in spring. Early spring plum blossoms come in red, white, pink, single petal, and double petal varieties. Some can bloom in different colors on the same tree, and there are also precious light green plum blossoms. There are many tourists who come to admire the plum blossoms on weekends, and if conditions permit, choose to come before working days. The flowering period of tulips is slightly later than that of plum blossoms. From late March to April, tulips will bloom and the scenic area will hold a tulip flower exhibition. In addition, plants from the desert can be seen in the viewing greenhouse located in the Garden Expo Park. If you are not visiting in spring, you can enjoy the lotus in summer, smell the osmanthus fragrance in autumn, and watch the lantern festival in Mid-Autumn Festival.

If it's not the flowering period when you arrive, then Meiyuan will be like an ordinary large park. At this time, you can take a look at the cultural relics related to the Rong brothers, the builders of Meiyuan. For example, Xixin Spring, Tianxin Platform and the three the Taihu Lake Lake stones on its south side, which are shaped like "Fu, Lu and Shou" respectively, the main building of Rong's architecture, the Bin chanting Hall (commonly known as "Nanmu Hall", and the furnishings are all original Rong's), the reading place and other attractions. The Nian Jue Tower, built by the Rong brothers for their mother on the hillside of Hushan Mountain, is a landmark building of Meiyuan. It is a green topped hexagonal tower with three floors and a height of 18 meters. It can be seen from a distance, and there is no need to climb too much to reach the Nian Jue Tower. Climbing the tower, you can overlook Meiyuan. Walk east to Kaiyuan Temple, which was funded and built by Rong Desheng. The vegetarian noodles at Kaiyuan Temple's vegetarian restaurant are very delicious.

The ancient Meiqi Stone Garden is also worth a visit. You can learn about the popular science knowledge and plum culture of plum blossoms at the Plum Culture Museum in the park.
Tourists with children can walk to the right after entering the entrance of the scenic area. The ecological park has rock climbing projects, including the brave path composed of single plank bridges, single step bridges, bridge bridges, etc. Children will definitely have a great time playing.
Hengshan on the east side of Meiyuan is also included in the scenic area, with scattered pavilions and towers built. There are not many scenic spots, and in the past, it was mainly about climbing mountains.
