Shennongjia Station is located in Xinhua Town, Shennongjia Forest District. It is a line-level station with an overall building height of 31.456 meters and a center mileage of DK537+523.450. The main station building consists of one partially underground floor and two above-ground floors. As of June 2021, the station has a total construction area of 19,402 square meters, including 7,998 square meters of station building, 6,089 square meters of canopy area covering the overpass section, 3,390 square meters of flying overpass section, and 1,925 square meters of escalator area. The station has two platforms and four lines, with a building capacity of 600 people and an annual passenger volume of 800,000 to 900,000.
Shennongjia Hongping Airport is located on the large lawn of Hongping Town in Shennongjia. At an elevation of 2,584 meters, it is the highest regional airport in central China. Its airfield is rated 4C, with a 2,800-meter runway. The terminal area is designed to handle an annual passenger throughput of 250,000 and 1,140 tons of cargo and mail. The terminal building, 3,204 square meters, has three apron stands. Supporting facilities include communications, navigation, meteorological, power, water, fuel, firefighting, and production support. The airport is capable of accommodating medium-sized passenger aircraft such as the Boeing 737-700/800 and Airbus A319/320.
