Jiangwan Village , an ancient village with rich historical and cultural heritage, is located in the northeast of Wuyuan County. The architectural layout of Jiangwan is extremely distinctive, with one street and six alleys criss crossing. From the perspective of Houlong Mountain, the alleys form a huge "An" character, which is breathtaking.

The entrance of the ancient town is the massive "Xiaojiang Ancestral Hall", which is a large ancestral hall in Wuyuan and even South Yangtze River area, showcasing the royal style. The ancestral hall is divided into four parts: the front hall, the front hall, the middle hall, and the back hall. The brick carvings, wood carvings, and stone carvings inside the temple are lifelike and elegant. Jiangwan people are proud of Houlong Mountain.

Since ancient times, Jiangwan people have not allowed anyone to touch any grass or trees on Houlong Mountain, and the ecological environment has been well protected. Entering Houlong Mountain is like entering a primitive forest, covered in ancient trees that obscure the sky and sun, adding a lot of charm to the Jiangwan Ancient Village built on the mountain. Jiangwan had a flourishing literary style and produced a large number of talented scholars, including Jiang Yong, a Qing dynasty scholar of classics and phonetics, Jiang Yilin, a minister of the Ministry of Revenue during the Longqing period of the Ming dynasty, and Jiang Qian, a famous educator and Buddhist scholar in the late Qing dynasty. They are undoubtedly representatives of Wuyuan's "Book Town".

The village still preserves the former residence of Jiang Yong, the Three Provinces Hall, the Dunchong Hall, the Peixin Hall, the four ancient gate pavilions of Donghe, Nanguan, Xi'an, and Beiyue, the Yue Fei Bridge built by Yue Wumu, and the Ming Dynasty Jianquan Well and other ancient Huizhou style buildings, which are worth a visit.
In addition, visitors can also experience the traditional skills of old craftsmen at scenic spots such as Baigongfang, Chongchuntang, and commune canteens. They can also watch traditional plays such as Huizhou opera and Wuyuan folk songs.
