Mountain Jiushui Tourist Area

The Jiushui Tourist Area is located in the northern part of the main peak of Laoshan Mountain, and is a rare tourist area known for its water and waterfall views. It is also a famous summer resort. The vegetation in Jiushui Tourist Area is dense, with streams, ponds, and waterfalls scattered throughout the valleys. lifelike boulders can be seen everywhere in the mountains, and walking on the waterfront boardwalk, the clear and green water of the pond is refreshing and pleasant.

Summer is a good season to visit the Jiushui Tourist Area. At this time, the valley is filled with gurgling streams, especially the waterfall that flows heavily after rain, which is very beautiful. The Jiushui Tourist Area in summer is lush with trees and cool, accompanied by streams along the way, making it perfect for playing in the water. From October to mid November, it is a good season to come to Jiushui Tourist Area to enjoy the red leaves. At that time, the valleys are colorful and the scenery is also very moving.

The Jiushui Tourist Area is formed by the convergence of Laoshan Mountain springs from an altitude of one kilometer. It is divided into Outer Jiushui and Inner Jiushui. After arriving at Wolong Village, first buy tickets and sightseeing tickets, then take a sightseeing bus through Waijiu Water (from Wo Le Village to Taihe Temple, about 6 kilometers away) to reach the entrance of Neijiu Water and start hiking. Along the way, you can see reservoirs, villages, and peaks along the road, which are the landscapes of Waijiu Water.

The Inner Nine Rivers (Taihe Temple to Chaoyin Waterfall) is the essence of the whole scenic spot, which gathers many scenic spots. This section of road is also easy to walk, especially the "Nine Rivers and Eighteen Ponds". The "Nine Waters and Eighteen Pools" are a series of water pools of different sizes, which are clear to the bottom and as blue as jade. There are huge stones scattered between the pools. If you come here in summer, you can play in the water by the pool or walk on the stones, which is full of fun.

Walking along the water flow here, you will pass through mountain canyons such as Fish Scale Gorge and Lengcui Gorge, where you can also see multiple exquisite pictographic stones. Then you can reach Chaoyin Waterfall, where you can see a mountain spring flying out from the mouth of the gorge, merging into a blue-green water pool called "Indigo Bay". Chaoyin Waterfall is the end of the Inner Nine Waters. Here, you can either return by the original route or continue climbing to Liuyun Pavilion and Weizhu Temple, and then descend to the Inner Four Waters to return.

The road up the mountain is mainly made of stone steps, and the section of mountain road from Chaoyin Waterfall to Liuyun Pavilion is relatively steep, which requires more physical exertion than before. But when you climb up the Liuyun Pavilion and look around at the beautiful mountains, you will feel that climbing up the mountain is worth it. Liuyun Pavilion is a higher point on the mountain climbing road of Jiushui Tourist Area, with an altitude of 670 meters. When viewed from here on a sunny day, one can clearly see the majestic main peak of Mount Laoshan - Jufeng.

After Liuyun Pavilion, there will be a series of downhill roads where you will pass through a pine forest and reach Weizhu Temple. The Weizhu Temple was built in the 17th year of the Ming Wanli reign (1589) by Song Chongru, a Taoist of the Huashan sect of the Quanzhen sect. This Taoist temple is hidden deep in the mountains, peaceful, simple, and full of Taoist and immortal style. Don't forget to go in and take a look. After returning from Wei Zhu An to Nei Si Shui (the middle of Nei Jiu Shui), you can walk back to the sightseeing car parking lot.                                                                                                                Travel  Tips
