Wuyi Lane is located south of Confucius Temple and was the barracks of Wu Guomao's troops guarding Shitou City during the Three Kingdoms period (220-280) . At that time, the soldiers were all wearing black uniforms, so the alley was named "Wu Yi". At the beginning of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the minister Wang Dao lived here, which later became a residential area for wealthy families such as Wang and Xie.

Wuyi Lane is bustling with customers, with a gathering of cultural giants such as Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi, and the founder of the landscape poetry school, Xie Lingyun. Wuyi Lane witnessed Wang Xie's artistic achievements, closely linked to the history of the two major families and even the entire history of Chinese culture.
In 1997, the Wang Dao Xie An Memorial Hall with ethnic style was rebuilt in Wuyi Lane, and a wide range of historical materials and cultural relics were collected. Guju provides an overview of the history of the two major families represented by Wang Dao and Xie An during the Eastern Jin Dynasty(317-420), as well as the ancient capital of Nanjing during the Six Dynasties period. It highlights the achievements and accomplishments of many outstanding figures in politics, military, culture, and other fields.
