Jiming Temple, also known as Ancient Jiming Temple, is located north of Xuanwu Lake and was founded in the Western Jin Dynasty. It is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Nanjing. During Qingming Festival, you can enjoy a sea of cherry blossoms on the road in front of the temple, and in summer, you can climb up to the Medicine Buddha Pagoda and admire the lotus flowers in Xuanwu Lake.

The gate of Jiming Temple is located on the left stone steps of Jiming Temple Road, with the four golden characters "Ancient Jiming Temple" in the center of the gate. Stepping into the mountain gate, the environment in the temple is very elegant. The Buddhist temple is exquisite and incense is wreathed. On the left is the feeding platform. In front of the platform is the Maitreya Hall, above which are the the Shakya ManiHall and the Guanyin Tower.
The Shakya ManiHall, also known as Pilu Hall, is the main hall of Jiming Temple. In the center of the hall is the Pilu Buddha (Dharmakaya Buddha), one of the three body Buddhas. On both sides are two Bodhisattvas, Manjusri and Samantabhadra, while on the east and west sides are 24 heavens.
There is also a rouge well on the northeast side of the temple. It is said that during the Sui Dynasty's downfall of Chen, Chen Shubao, the queen of Chen, and his concubines Zhang Lihua and Kong Guipin once hid in the well. Due to this past event, many tourists came here to admire its reputation.
