Linfen Climate


Linfen City, located in southwestern Shanxi Province, has a temperate continental monsoon climate with distinct four seasons and concentrated precipitation. Its main characteristics are as follows:

Average annual temperature: 9.0°C to 12.9°C, with a measured temperature of 12.1°C in 2023.

Seasonal Variations:

Winter (December-February): Cold and dry, with an average January temperature of -5°C to 2°C, and extreme lows reaching -23°C.

Summer (June-August): Hot, with an average July temperature exceeding 25°C and an extreme high of 41°C (June 12, 2024).

2025 Trend: The average temperature in June and July will be 24.5°C, 1.5°C above average, the highest since 1961.
