Jilin City receives an average annual precipitation of 650–750 mm, with an average of 126 rainy days per year, reaching a maximum of 154 days in 1959 and a minimum of 93 days in 2001. The highest annual rainfall reached 1,079.5 mm in 1956, and the lowest was 434.1 mm in 2011. Precipitation varies significantly seasonally, with the highest concentration occurring in the summer months of June through August, accounting for 64% of the annual total.
