Huaihua Weather

Huaihua City is located in the transitional zone between the subtropical climate zone of Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, and the Jiangnan climate zone. The city has distinct four seasons and a short period of cold and cool summers. Divided by temperature, March 1st to May 31st is spring, June 1st to August 31st is summer, September 1st to November 30th is autumn, and December 1st to the end of February of the following year is winter.

In spring, the warm and humid air in the south gradually strengthens and moves northward, with temperatures rising day by day and precipitation increasing day by day. Its characteristics are: firstly, the weather is unpredictable. The cold air force in the north is gradually retreating northward, and warm and humid air flows from the south are beginning to move northward. The cold and warm air flows converge within the area, forming a climate characteristic of "spring baby face, three changes a day"; In summer, it is often controlled by subtropical high pressure, with southerly winds and high temperatures; In late spring and early summer, rainfall is concentrated and heavy, often accompanied by continuous rain and high temperatures and humidity, known as the plum rain season. Its characteristics are: firstly, the summer heat period is relatively long; In autumn, the subtropical high pressure system in the western Pacific strengthens and extends westward and northward, with cold air converging northward. In late summer and early autumn from August to September, the number of rainy days significantly decreases, but the temperature remains high, with an average daily temperature of 27 ℃ and high evaporation, often resulting in varying degrees of drought; In winter, controlled by the monsoon, cold air from the north invades southward, often resulting in rainy and snowy weather.
