Here, the Jingping and Wushui River areas were once the land of the Southern Barbarians, and have always been a place of mixed residence for various ethnic groups and tribes, with a strong folk cultural atmosphere. The folk cultural elements that have been passed down to this day, such as wine songs, Nuo opera, fishing drums, and Bawang whips, attract countless tourists.

The rural households in Jingping Ancient Village are mostly composed of small courtyards from the Ming and Qing dynasties, blending seamlessly with the surrounding mountains, waters, and countryside, giving people a simple and introverted feeling.

There are also ancient wells from the Tang Dynasty, city walls from the Ming Dynasty, and former residences of Qing people in the village. In addition, the millennium old couple tree and ancient stone fish allow you to fully appreciate the weight of history and the tranquility of the ancient village. The Pan Clan Ancestral Hall was built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. Despite experiencing wind and rain, it still has an elegant and antique appearance.

On the stage of the ancestral hall, tourists can enjoy performances such as Nuo opera, Bawang whip, and fishing drums written, directed, and performed by the villagers of Jingping, which will make you feel as if you have returned to that distant past.
