Mati Temple, also known as Puguang Temple, located between the foothills of the Qilian Mountains in the territory of Sunan Yugu Autonomous County, is a huge grotto monastery complex.

There are many grottoes of Buddha carved on the stone walls from the Northern Liang period to the present thousand years. There are both Chinese Buddhist monasteries and Tibetan Buddhist temples.

Mati Temple is now open to the public is its north temple, scenic area is larger, the internal depth of about 3-4 kilometers, in addition to the mountains are dotted with excavation of the many Buddha caves, the main sites worth visiting the Thousand Buddha Cave, King Gesar's Hall, thirty-three days of the Buddha Cave and other areas.
