The history of Suzhou embroidery dates back to the Spring and Autumn Period over 2,600 years ago. It is considered one of the "Four Famous Chinese Embroideries" along with Hunan's Xiang embroidery, Sichuan's Shu embroidery, and Guangdong's Yue embroidery. It is considered the foremost of these four. Suzhou embroidery primarily features figures, landscapes, flowers and birds, and animals, and is embroidered in various styles, including plaques, album covers, scrolls, and folding screens. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Suzhou artists successfully developed double-sided embroidery, with their signature work being the "Double-Faced Cat."

Taohuawu woodblock New Year paintings are a major form of folk New Year paintings in Jiangnan, China. Taohuawu is located north of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province (located at the northern foot of the Changmen Gate in Suzhou, Jiangsu). Originating from woodblock printing techniques from the Song Dynasty, Taohuawu New Year paintings evolved from embroidered images. They developed into a folk art school in the Ming Dynasty, reaching their peak during the reigns of Emperors Yongzheng and Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, with over a million pieces produced annually.

Dongting Mountain Biluochun tea is one of China's ten most famous teas, alongside West Lake Longjing tea. It is produced in Dongting Mountain (now Dongshan Town, Wuzhong District, Suzhou) and Xidongting Mountain (now Jinting Town, Wuzhong District, Suzhou, on Xishan Island, Taihu Lake, Suzhou) in the Taihu Lake basin of Suzhou. Dongting Mountain's tea forests and orchards blend seamlessly, with tea trees intercropped with peaches, plums, apricots, plums, and loquats, a typical tea-fruit intercropping system. The production process of Dongting Mountain Biluochun tea is demanding, with high-quality tea leaves being entirely hand-roasted.
