Nanning Wuxu International Airport (IATA: NNG; ICAO: ZGNN) is located in Wuxu Town, Jiangnan District, Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, 27.8 kilometers from the city center. It is a Class 4E civil-military international airport, the largest aviation hub in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, one of China's top-10 million passenger airports, an international gateway hub serving ASEAN, a Class A open air port and an alternate airport for international flights, and a port with a 24-hour transit visa-free policy.
Nanning Wuxu Airport opened on November 26, 1962, as a relocation from Nanning Airport. Terminal 1 of Nanning Wuxu Airport opened on April 28, 1998. On December 26, 2003, Nanning Wuxu Airport was renamed Nanning Wuxu International Airport. The new runway of Nanning Wuxu International Airport opened on December 3, 2008. Terminal 2 of Nanning Wuxu International Airport relocated and opened on September 25, 2014. As of October 2024, Nanning Wuxu International Airport's Terminal 2 will span 189,000 square meters, with a total of 110 civil aviation parking stands. The runway is 3,200 meters long and 45 meters wide, accommodating an annual passenger throughput of 16 million, a cargo and mail throughput of 164,000 tons, and 137,600 aircraft movements. During the 2024 winter-spring flight season, Nanning Wuxu International Airport will operate 114 routes to over 90 cities.
In 2023, Nanning Wuxu International Airport saw passenger throughput of 13.6897 million (historical peak: 15.762341 million), a year-on-year increase of 105.6%; cargo and mail throughput of 189,400 tons (a record high), a year-on-year increase of 24.7%; and aircraft movements of 110,200 (historical peak: 114,658), a year-on-year increase of 65.5%, ranking 30th, 20th, and 33rd in China, respectively.
Nanning North Railway Station (Nanningbei Railway Station, Pinyin code: NNB, Telegraph code: NRZ), located in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, is a railway station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It serves as a passenger terminal for the Guiyang-Nanning High-Speed Railway and is positioned as a key node guiding Nanning's future urban spatial development, a hub for Nanning's sub-center, and a comprehensive transportation hub in northern Nanning.
Construction of Nanning North Station began in April 2022; the topping-out ceremony was completed on January 10, 2023; and the station is expected to open on August 31, 2023.
As of May 2024, Nanning North Station will have a construction area of 30,000 square meters, three platforms and eight tracks, and a designed peak passenger capacity of 3,000 passengers per hour. The station is designed to handle 8.5 million passengers annually.
