Yilingyan is located in the northern part of Nanning and the southern part of Wuming City, and is a famous karst cave around Nanning. The shape of the entire cave is like a conch, divided into three layers, with winding paths, layers of columnar curtains, and towering stalagmites, giving people a mysterious feeling.
The tour within the scenic area must be conducted under the guidance of the scenic guide throughout the entire process, and no additional fees are required. However, individual travelers may need to wait at the main entrance. Once enough people are gathered, they will enter the cave together, and the waiting time is usually around half an hour. The tour outside the cave takes about an hour, where you can visit a man-made Zhuang village and listen to the tour guide talk about Zhuang customs. If you encounter the process of drinking rice wine, you may need to prepare some change.
At the end of the village is a cave tour, which takes about an hour because the lights are turned off at each attraction and then on at the next. Therefore, it is important to follow the tour guide closely during the visit, who will guide you to every noteworthy landscape and related legends. In caves, larger areas can accommodate thousands of people, while smaller areas can only accommodate one person passing through. Swimming through caves, one can also enjoy Zhuang ethnic song and dance performances, and participate in experiential activities such as bamboo pole dancing.
