The Guangxi Science and Technology Museum is located diagonally opposite the Ethnic Square in the center of Nanning city, and is a science popularization center with rich exhibits. Here, there are not only high-tech displays such as car dissections and lunar flight simulators, but also content suitable for children such as time tunnels and dinosaur exploration, as well as experience projects such as virtual tours of the Li River and 4D cinemas. The exhibition hall has four floors, with the first floor being a temporary exhibition hall where science popularization and academic knowledge exhibitions are held irregularly. The second, third, and fourth floors of the museum are permanent exhibition halls, including seven zones: children's playground, scientific exploration, environmental survival, life and health, information world, challenges and innovation, and future prospects. The display items on the second floor are more suitable for children, with a children's playground and a science exploration exhibition area, allowing children and parents to participate and interact together. The third layer mainly showcases topics closely related to human survival, modern social life, and sustainable development. The fourth layer showcases the major social issues and challenges currently faced by Guangxi.
Permanent Exhibition Hall
The second, third, and fourth floors of the museum are permanent exhibition halls with an area of approximately 9000 square meters. The theme is "Exploration, Technology, and Innovation", with a total of about 236 exhibits (sets), mainly covering important fields closely related to people's social life and sustainable development such as engineering technology, information technology, and biotechnology. At the same time, we also pay attention to exploring the regional characteristics, scientific and technological development achievements, and other resources of Guangxi and ASEAN countries. The permanent exhibition hall is set up in sequence as three major exhibition areas: Enlightenment and Exploration, Technology and Life, Innovation and Outlook, including seven zones: Children's Park, Science Exploration, Environmental Survival, Life and Health, Information World, Challenge and Innovation, and Future Outlook.
Temporary exhibition hall
The temporary exhibition hall is located on the first floor of the Science and Technology Museum, with an exhibition area of approximately 2400 square meters. It mainly hosts short-term science and technology themed or hot topic exhibitions, with various forms and multiple perspectives for schools and communities.
Special cinema
There are two special cinemas in the science and technology museum - ball screen cinema and 4D cinema. The dome theater covers an area of about 250 square meters and can accommodate 166 people. It has dual functions of astronomical programs and dome movies, allowing audiences to enjoy new dome movies and many rare starry sky movements and astronomical phenomena. The 4D cinema covers an area of approximately 60 square meters and can accommodate 38 people. Through the use of stereoscopic imaging, combined with environmental water spraying, air blowing, smoke screens, and other technologies, the theater brings extraordinary visual shock and experience to the audience.
Youth Science Studio
The Youth Science Studio is located on the sixth floor of the Science and Technology Museum office building, and is open to the public for free. Science popularization activities can be booked. The studio is divided into five main activity areas: robotics, scientific exploration, astronomy, parent-child science experience, and personalized printing and dyeing. Teenagers can learn and experience scientific ideas and methods, expand and deepen their knowledge structure through hands-on participation in experiments.
Robot Studio
The robot studio is divided into two main areas: exhibition and training, conducting research-based learning and competition training for various types of youth robots. It provides primary education on mechatronics and computer process control science and technology among young people, enabling them to understand cutting-edge scientific knowledge, stimulate their interest in scientific exploration, and desire to participate in technological innovation.
Scientific Exploration Laboratory
There are two main types of activities in the scientific exploration laboratory: scientific experiment drama performances and scientific experiment experience activities. The performance of scientific experimental dramas presents abstract scientific principles through easy to understand and infectious experimental performances, inspiring young people's curiosity and thinking about science, while allowing them to understand certain scientific knowledge. Scientific experiment experience activities will involve seemingly complex and mysterious scientific experiments, and through rigorous operational procedures and safe and easy to operate experimental content, enable young people to develop a scientific research attitude and rigorous experimental habits in the practical process.
Astronomy Studio
The Astronomy Studio regularly holds lectures on astronomy science popularization, taught by experts in astronomy science popularization. These lectures are not only easy to understand and interactive, but also combined with major astronomical events, allowing young people to learn astronomy knowledge in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Regularly organize outdoor observation activities to combine theoretical knowledge with practice.
Parent Child Science Experience Studio
The Parent Child Science Experience Studio carries out teaching activities mainly through hands-on activities between parents and children, using a variety of simple and easy-to-use teaching tools. Parents and children can have sufficient communication in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, and at the same time understand the scientific principles in the experiment. Children will cultivate a scientific learning attitude and experimental habits unconsciously.
Printing and Dyeing Studio
The printing and dyeing studio focuses on digital production and mainly carries out production activities such as digital printing and dyeing, manual printing and dyeing, and ethnic creative handicrafts. Encourage teenagers to gradually develop their hands-on and creative design abilities through enjoyable production activities.
Biological Experiment Studio
The biology laboratory mainly conducts extracurricular practical exploration activities in primary and secondary school biology. By organizing scientifically rigorous and simple experimental operations, we aim to stimulate their interest in in-depth exploration of biological science, and gradually cultivate their habit of self-learning and a serious and rigorous scientific attitude. Collaborated with Xinghu and Tiantao Primary Schools in Nanning to form a biological exploration group, which carried out exploration activities such as plant cutting and tissue culture techniques. At the same time, it also recruited students from the society and organized short-term biological exploration classes. Travel Tips
