Henan Museum


Henan Museum founded in 1927, is one of the earlier museums established in China. The museum is located in the middle part of Agricultural Road in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, covering an area of 126 acres, with a building area of 55,000 square meters.

Henan Museum has a collection of more than 170,000 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, especially prehistoric artifacts, Shang and Zhou bronzes, ceramics, jade and stone carvings are characteristic. Fine cultural relics are large in number, complete in variety, high in taste and great in value, and are a treasure house of culture and art that witnesses the trajectory of Chinese civilization and demonstrates the development of Chinese history.

Now open with the basic display show “great China choose to build the capital” and thematic display “Ming and qing dynasty henan” “ancient stone carving art exhibition in the central plains” “dan xi ji jin - zhongyuan chu bronze art” “skillful work of the heritage - the courtyard collection of ming qing dynasty treasures exhibition” and “treasures of the national special exhibition” and so on, with the exhibition matching “social and cultural relics”, “the social and cultural relics”, “the social and cultural relics”. The “Social Education Experience Hall” and “Huaxia Ancient Music Hall” are also open for use in conjunction with the exhibition.
