Suzhou Museum consists of two parts: the New Museum, which has been opened since 2006, and the old building of the Chungwang Mansion of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (the Old Museum), which is like a small garden. In the New Museum, you can see pottery, jade, paintings and other cultural relics from ancient to modern times; in the Chungwang Mansion, you can also see the beautiful and elegant “Su-style color painting”.

The museum has four permanent exhibitions with Suzhou characteristics, namely, Treasures of Wu Land, National Treasures of Wu Pagoda, Elegance of Wuzhong, and Painting and Calligraphy of Wu Gate. Here collects a lot of cultural relics found from the Huqiu Pagoda and Ruiguang Pagoda, which have to see is displayed in the “Wu Tower National Treasure” of the two treasures of the museum, one is the “Yue kiln secret color porcelain Lotus Bowl”; the second is the "real beads relics treasure block ".
In addition, the museum also has a folklore exhibition where you can learn about the customs of the Suzhou area.
