Jokhang Temple, the Tibetan language for “juekang”, also known as “zulakang”, is the end of the Tibetan Buddhist believers pilgrimage, in their hearts, Jokhang Temple of the sacred, not inferior to the Potala Palace. Whether from the geographic location, or in the minds of Tibetan Buddhists, Jokhang Temple is a true Tibetan Buddhism and the center of the Holy Land, in the history of Tibetan Buddhism has an extremely high and holy status.

In the eighth century A.D., Princess Wencheng of the Great Tang Dynasty, when she entered Tibet from Chang'an to bring Sakyamuni twelve-year-old statue for the Da Zhao Temple, Da Zhao Temple has become the treasure of the temple.
In addition, the temple has nearly a thousand meters long Tibetan murals “Princess Wencheng into Tibet” and “the construction of the Great Show Monastery map”, there are two embroidered thangkas of the Dharma protector of the Ming Dynasty, for rare art treasures.
