Pan Mountain

Panshan is located on the west side of Jixian County and is a famous mountain in the Beijing Tianjin area. There are many strange pine trees, rocks, and flowing water on the mountain, and with different heights, three layers of scenery appear in sequence, becoming the famous "Three Pans" scenery. Due to its beautiful scenery, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited Panshan 32 times and even exclaimed, "If I had known there were Panshan, why go down to Jiangnan. Although Panshan belongs to Tianjin city, it is actually closer to Beijing city center than to Tianjin city center. During holidays, tourists from the vicinity of Beijing and Tianjin rush to visit, and there are more people there. There are two cable cars in front of the mountain: the Jinsheng Cable Car (Shanmen Wansong Temple), which costs 60 yuan one-way and can reach halfway up the mountain; Yunsong Cableway (Wansong Temple Yunmao Temple), one-way 60 yuan, from halfway up the mountain to Yunmao Temple under the hanging moon peak, very close to the mountaintop. There is a mountain sightseeing bus and a hanging moon cableway in the back mountain, which are sold together for 100 yuan per trip. After taking the sightseeing bus and cableway in sequence, climb a short distance to reach the top of the mountain. The highest peak on the mountain is only 864.4 meters above sea level, but if you hike the entire distance, you will have to walk about 30 kilometers. Although the mountain is not high, you have to climb several hills, which is very tiring. A more reasonable arrangement is to take a sightseeing car and a hanging moon cableway from the back mountain directly to the top of the mountain, then walk down from the front mountain and walk along the front mountain from the hanging moon peak to the mountain gate, which is about 12 kilometers. Hanging Moon Peak: After climbing to the top of the mountain by sightseeing car and cable car, you can see the Pagoda of Dingguang Buddha Relic, which is a stone pagoda and a symbol of the mountain top. Start descending the mountain. If you have good physical strength, you can choose to climb the second highest peak of the mountain, Zilai Peak, at the fork in the road; If you want to save energy or time, just go all the way down the mountain. Top of the Mountain - Wansong Temple: After passing through the high temples such as Yunmao Temple, Nantian Gate, and Jiangjun Stone on Panshan Mountain, you can descend to the large temple Wansong Temple (formerly known as Li Jing'an, where the famous Tang Dynasty general Li Jing once lived). This is the road that the Yunsong Cableway passes through. If you hike, there are many dirt roads that are difficult to walk on and have few scenic spots. However, you can see the magnificent natural scenery, with rolling mountains, white clouds dotted in the blue sky, and the strange pine trees on the upper plate and the strange rocks in the middle plate all in one's sight. Wansong Temple Shanmen: This section is the route that the Jinsheng Cableway passes through. The road is relatively easy to walk, with a concentration of scenic spots and many cultural attractions. You can also see the scenery of Shuisheng in the lower part. Hiking down the mountain, one passes through the Tallinn, which is composed of 99 tombs and pagodas of eminent monks from various dynasties with different shapes; The place where Qianlong's substitute monk became a monk - Tiancheng Temple. To the east of the temple gate is the Woyun Tower, and at the foot of the mountain opposite the tower is the old site of a small stage. Qianlong once watched a play here. Further ahead, you can see Shuxia, one of the representative attractions of the Lower Water Festival. A waterfall like structure resembling strands of silk floats into the pool, bringing a refreshing feeling. Continuing on, I encountered a stone that looked like a gold ingot - Yuanbaoshi. It is said that touching it can bring wealth. When you see the stone with the words "entering victory" handwritten by Rong Lu, the Minister of War and Governor General of Zhili in the late Qing Dynasty, it indicates that the mountain gate is not far away. Every March and April, a temple fair is held in Panshan, where the scene of "Qianlong's Tour of Panshan" can be seen, recreating the grand scene of Qianlong's parade in the past.
