The collection of the Taipei Palace Museum is quite rich, with cultural relics and treasures covering almost 5000 years of glorious Chinese history, totaling up to 650000 pieces, known as the "treasure trove of Chinese culture". Here, you will have the opportunity to witness the treasures of the three major town pavilions, including the "Meat Shaped Stone", "Jade Cabbage", and "Mao Gong Ding". Their lifelike overall shape and exquisite craftsmanship are breathtaking.
The craftsman of 'Jade Cabbage' follows the natural color of Cuiyu and expresses the layers of wrapped vegetable leaves with thick dark green; Although there are cracks and impurities in the white part, it is cleverly arranged to transform into fresh and moisture rich cabbage stems.
Close appreciation of art comes from the Dongpo Braised Pork flesh shaped stone of life. The Dongpo Braised Pork flesh shaped stone is one of the four wonders of China and one of the three treasures of the Palace Museum in Taipei.
