The Mausoleums of Hami Uyghur Royal Family

Hami King Uyghur Royal Family Mausoleum, located in the southern suburbs of Hami city,  is the tomb of nine generations of Hami kings who once ruled Hami in history.

The cemetery has a history of over 300 years, and most of the buildings and tombs are well preserved to this day. In the scenic area, you can see the original appearance of the tombs of Hami kings throughout history, visit the Hami King History Exhibition Hall to learn about the historical stories of the Hami King family, and also visit the Hami Mosque - Aitigar Mosque in the cemetery to experience the exquisite and spectacular ancient architecture.

The area of the King Hui Mausoleum is not large, with a length and width of about 100 meters. It takes about 1-2 hours to walk and visit. In the middle of the park is a square, and on the east side of the square is the larger mosque in Hami - the Aitigar Mosque. On the west side, there are some buildings scattered, which are the tombs of various Hui kings, all of which are ancient buildings that have been preserved. There is also a Hui King History Exhibition Hall in the park that can be visited.

The Aitigar Mosque can be visited. This mosque was built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and is magnificent in scale. It is 60 meters long from east to west and 38 meters wide from north to south, and can accommodate 5000 people for worship at the same time. There are no statues of people or animals enshrined in the temple, but the walls are decorated with geometric shapes and floral patterns, with symbols written between them, which are very local. There are still 108 wooden pillars painted in red inside the temple, which have been in good condition for more than 300 years.

King Ges Tomb

The Ges Tomb is 22 meters long from east to west, 12 meters wide from north to south, and 15 meters high. It has a square base, a circular arch, covered with green glazed bricks, and is surrounded by corridors supported by wooden columns. The four corners have flying eaves, making it a building that blends Arabic and Han architectural styles. A wall was built around this tomb. Inside the wall, various trees, flowers, and plants have been planted, making the environment look particularly elegant and peaceful.
