The Foshan Zumiao Museum is located at 21 Zumiao Road, Chancheng District, Foshan City, covering an area of 30200 square meters. It is a national first-class museum, a national 4A level tourist attraction, a Chinese cultural heritage base in Guangdong Province, and one of the ten demonstration sites for civilized tourism in Guangdong Province.

The jurisdiction of Foshan Ancestral Temple Museum includes the Ancestral Temple Ancient Architecture Complex, Foshan Ancestral Temple Historical and Cultural Exhibition Hall, Confucian Temple, Huang Feihong Memorial Hall, Yewen Hall, etc. The Foshan Ancestral Temple was first built during the Yuanfeng period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1078-1085), and the main hall displays a Ming Dynasty bronze statue of Zhenwu. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit and was officially opened to the public in 1958; The Confucius Temple was built in the third year of the Xuantong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1911). It was a place where Confucius was revered in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. It is a cultural relic protection unit in Foshan City and was officially opened to the public in 1981.

The Foshan Huang Feihong Memorial Hall and Ye Wentang were built to commemorate the famous Foshan martial artists Huang Feihong and Ye Wentang, and were opened to the public in 2001 and 2002 respectively; The Foshan Ancestral Temple Historical and Cultural Exhibition Hall systematically introduces the historical origins and cultural connotations of Foshan Ancestral Temple, and was completed and opened to the public in 2016.

The ancestral temple museum mainly collects Taoist cultural relics and local folk cultural relics in Foshan. The basic display fully showcases the historical and cultural heritage of Foshan Ancestral Temple, Taoist culture, martial arts culture, and folk crafts of Foshan. Every year, the museum holds influential folk cultural activities such as Spring Festival prayer, Foshan Ancestral Temple Fair ("March 3rd" for the Northern Emperor's birthday), Spring and Autumn Edict Festival, and rural drinking ceremony. At the same time, it also hosts dynamic exhibitions of folk culture such as "Confucius Temple Students Opening Ceremony", "Huang Feihong Awakening Lion Performance", "Young Huang Feihong Martial Arts Performance", "Cantonese Opera Performance", etc., and continuously enriches exhibition resources by introducing high-quality exhibitions.

After completing a three-year comprehensive renovation project and external environment renovation, the Foshan Ancestral Temple Museum has further improved its internal hardware facilities. It attracts nearly three million tourists from home and abroad every year for its well preserved ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties and rich traditional folk cultural connotations.
